I'm an agnostic like Donnie. It does makes sense Donnie searching for the existence of God as agnostics really don't know what to believe.
What is your opinion about why Gretchen isnt portrayed during any scene of the movie as a manipulated dead?

Would you want to fuck a corpse?
Re-Agnostics; I'm one too, leaning more toward atheism. One could argue that by actively searching for proof of God, you already believe...

I think you're right. It's funny how most people don't understand the meaning of Donnie Darko, but if they'd only read the writings of Grandma Death (which, might I add, are displayed on-screen throughout the film), the full story would be perfectly explained. I think we have a winner with this one!

Well, if you love DD, the DC is the only way to go, right?

I like the theory Ecto1 is presenting... Donnie seems to be at peace.
Still, it is almost like the movie presents dying as the only choise for Donnie. Why is that?
Id taken DYING into a lot more consideration than just laughing for a few seconds...

Well, if you love DD, the DC is the only way to go, right? not necessarily. we each have our preferences, and the DC and TC both offer different perspectives on the film. some love the different opening song, some hate it. some like that the DC gives a bit more of a "guide" to what happened, some don't.
