Remember that when they wake up nobody remembers exactly what happens and they just see it as a hazy dream that you forget as the hours add up. She might have woken up feeling something or whatever, but by the time she goes by donnie's house it has already kinda worn off. But there is still a blurred link between Donnie's mom and gretchen to show that it did actually happen.

Do you mean by the rest as in everybody else in the movie? If so, yeah they also feel that dream (when they wake up and feel all surprises or guilt or whatever) Eventhough the dream will haze away the major part, they will probably keep a certain feeling present at all times and that is what will make the impact in their lives and overall changing it.

i believe that Donnie and Gretchen do have sex and i think this because of the cameras "shy"ness. (not quite a word but w/e lol) and jsut from the way they walk down the stairs all close and lovey dovey lol... but when he goes threw the tangent universe, he remains witht he virginity but he remembers everything that had happened so Donnie knows the truth and he dies to save Gretchen.

lol madrid!  i'm SURE we don't actually see them have sex because it is more artful and mysterious that way, fitting in with the rest of the film. i believe they did have sex that night, so in the TANGENT UNIVERSE (let's remember that kids) they are not virgins on the halloween party night. HOWEVER! at the end, you are back at the beginning. donnie and gretch have never met. so donnie dies a virgin (poor kid!) and gretchen is her pure self. |
