How often do you see the actual word Ditto written down? I always hear it spoken and i always thought it was diddo! Say is fast and they sound EXACTLY the same! Please forgive my sin!

It's not a sin: it's just widely considered a sign of the apocolypse -- in much the same way, say, Greedy correcting someone's punctuation would be. If people scurried for cover and ran about, waving their hands over their heads, that's why: we all thought the sky was falling. |
