Hey ppl , this is my first post in this whole website - yay! hehe I totally agree with 'Erica' - "under the milky way tonight' is just totally perfect for the movie - great song. The joy division and echo and the bunny men songs are also fantastic and they were fantastic before they were in the movie too. Richard Kelly or who-ever definitely has a fine taste in music. Hey is there another soundtrack besides 'the score' which has all the songs like - joy division and the church and stuff. Coz i dont think those songs are on the score cd are they?

If you like the music on the film you might like an album called 'Dark Side of the 80's'. Its got 'Killing Moon' on it and lots of other good 80's stuff.

my favorite scene ever in any movie is when they first go to school and you see them getting off the bus and "head over heels" starts playing.
followed closely by the halloween scene with the song by the church. that song is pretty amazing, but especially the part with what almost sounds like bagpipes or something. that part is fucking beautiful.

Just wanted to say that, although an underground hip-hop head, i.e. People Under the Stairs, Dilated Peoples, Aceyalone, and the immortal Organized Konfusion, Tears for Fears is one of my favorite groups of all time, and "Donnie Darko" exposed me to groups like the Church and Joy Division, which I am very impressed by. By the way, Joy Division became New Order after the suicide of their lead singer. Peep "Bizarre Love Triangle" be New Order. It's ill. Anyway, the whole "the lyrics fit the situation" angle is true enough, and if you like that type of thing, then check out Martin Scorcese's films. "Goodfellas," "Casino," "Mean Streets," any of them will give you a good movie-watching time. And their soundtracks are dope. Enjoy, and peace out.

The soundtrack to Donnie Darko is out - they have it on amazon. There's a single of Mad World out, too. You can watch a music video for Mad World from yahoo launch, and it's fabulously done.
Does anyone know anything about Michael Andrews? I can't find any information on him, other than a list of things he's worked on.

You might want to check out IMDB's profile of him us.imdb.com/name/nm0028787/. As far as i know, de doesn't have a website or anything. You could probably write something on the forum for his imdb profile if your looking for something specific.

Anybody know what the piece of music that is playing in the Aero Theatre scene with Frank, Donnie and Gretchen? I have no clue but it's before Cherita's "Autumn Angel" scene- That music kicks ass too- but not to get on a tangent (haha)- I seriously would appreciate any help that could be given. Thanks!
