I just thought I'd tell the board about this.
There probably aren't any hip-hop fans on here and that's cool but an up and coming group from the bay (California) called the Unified School District have a 3 song debut single coming out. The first single is called "Think Hard" and the bonus tracks are called "Music Youth" and "Donnie Darko".
I haven't heard any of the three songs but for them to name a song after the film intrigues me, so as soon as I get hold of it I'll upload it for the board to hear/comment upon.
Peace.

Interesting loop they sampled, unfortunetly like most underground rappers they choose titles that have nothing to do with the songs themselves. I see the Donnie Darko influence on the hook though and to answer your question Gretchen I highly doubt they will bother getting the rights to use the words, that's the way of hip-hop LOL.

From what I heard of it, it wasn't all that bad, wasn't all that good. And that means that it sounds very similar to a lot of underground hip-hop that's out there, as far as 12-inch singles go. I'd bet we might hear some "DD" references on any forthcoming Pharoahe Monche cuts, or some other equally SF/way-out minded MC. Gotta check the Prince Po album, maybe he referenced DD. (He and Pharoahe were the immortal Organized Konfusion, back in the day). Anyway, at least the film has a following amongst creative people. It ain't like we see Brittany doin this shit... ;D

I listened to the Prince Po album and thought it was decent but I'm really waiting for Pharoahe to hurry up and drop, you heard Agent Orange right? (Flames).
