My 2 favorite songs is the music that plays when donnie first sees the spear come out of his dads chest and than this, and also when hes in the party and he sees the spears comming out of everyones chests

First, we've all said it but I want to iterate: the music and the movie are intimately intertwined, from the timing to the lyrics to the shot selection ... which is one of the reasons I'm moved each time I watch Darko.
Loving all the songs, I guess I'll say "Love Will Tear Us Apart" by Joy Division is my fave. Very moving.

My favorite songs of favorites songs would be my ultimate of all favorite songs of donnie darko would have to definatly be mad world. I just think it is the part of the movie where the scene and the song are most interelated with each other. One of them individually would not make sense or excits witout the other one. That is why it is my favorite DD song.

My favourite song is definetly Head Over Heels by Tears for Fears. The song suits that scene perfectly and I can't get that song out of my head. I love all the 80's stuff

What I do hate of the movie though, are those cheap googly eye effects as donnie sees inside gretchen's time spear. I think they could have done much better in that scene. What a dissapointment.

For whom the bell tolls, because it is new and fantastic. Show me because Cherita Chen is the last person people discover is important. ooh oooh and there's a blue car!!! or was it azure, perhaps adriatic blue......or maybe misty monday ooops. Focus..... I've listened to the soundtrack and score dozens of times and love all the music. But those two are relatively new to me. Spent a decade listening to The Church, Tears for Fears "The Hurting," Joy Division/New Order, Oingo Boingo and Weird Science. Glad their back and popular. Lots of good stuff. Surprised The Cure didn't make the cut?

Where can I find an actual Donnie Darko soundtrack and not the score. As cool as the score songs are, I want to know if I could get the actual songs all on one cd, and and not have to buy them seperate.
