Nooo way!!!! I am a strong supporter of the original release... well I prefer it slightly over DC, but what makes you think I prefer DC?
I haven't voted, I want to wait and see the results, then later I might vote, but yeah I haven't cast my ballot yet....

I appreciate them both as separate stabs at a vision RK had. And I'm not convinced he completely got it right in either of the attempts.

Make it 200% with my agreement.. but as I said before, I am not planing to vote yet.... and when I do vote, I probably would vote in "Slightly prefere Original over DC" because there are some neat stuff in DC... But I am also a strong supporter of the Original release....

Hmmm, I'm undecided. There's certain stuff in each cut that is superior to one other.

I am glad for both but I would always recommend watching the original first.

I am glad for both but I would always recommend watching the original first. That sums it up for me, as well. In fact, I feel almost deprived (if not depraved) because I saw the DC first, then the original. Still fuzzy on the differences.

I liked the original MUCH better.
I don't recall listening to the director's commentary on the original, but on the director's cut, it sounds to me like he's making it up as he goes along.
To me it's better when it's left up to individual interpretation, I don't want to know the 'definitive' meaning behind each thing. And who the fuck cares what Kevin Smith thinks, anyway? What the hell does he have to do with anything?
But I did enjoy the extra features on the DC, The Cult of Donnie Darko & the #1 Fan.

I hated kevin Smith on the commentary. If anything it sounded like Kelly did have stuff to say , but Smith couldn't get enough of his own voice and continually spoke over him. It was practically bullying.
I recently got the non prism original - I've yet to listen to the commentaries for comparison though...
