it's about the war. that's pretty much all i know. the previews look amazing and i'm really excited for it, and i usually hate war movies.

It looks really...real...crisp and authentic. More like a documentar....that's just from the previews though.

Apparently it is based on a book written by the character that Jake is playing. Swofford. The ads do look good. I am not a fan of war movies...always afraid they are going to glorify death... so I anticipate your reviews before I go see it.

Jarheads don't like it? I heard it was neutral about war, what don't they like?

What the fuck is going on with Jake? He was great in Donnie Darko, Good Girl and Moonlight Mile but after playing a homosexual cowboy and shaking his ass in a thong in Jarhead I'm starting to find it hard to support him. And oh yeah Jarhead was garbage, I laugh at people praising the ending like it was something special, ooh big deal they didn't kill anybody.

I think that Jarhead is an excellent movie and i have the book. you are entitled to your oppinion but personally i think your wrong, and the ending was very efective and made me as frustrated as Swofford was.

all we train for is the one moment we can pull the trigger and make the enemy no more and when that is taken away our live have no more purpose

his traing was very realistic however he would have been that "close" with his staff sergent the combat i ave not been to but talking to marines who have (many in desert storm and one staioned with swoford) it was very close and well done adaptaion
