Or your IPOD or MP3 or??? I have Dar William's The Honesty Room on my CD player in my car. On my home player I have a Jackie Greene CD. He is new and folksy and plays a mean harp. I am not too keen on all of his lyrics but he is an amazing talent. He is from Sacramento. All day I listen to talk radio...that can be very depressing....

The last 3 CDs I bought were: Coldplay, X and Y Garbage, Bleed Like Me Tori Amos, Little Earthquakes I listen to a hell of a lot more though (I tend to rip albums to my computer then hit 'shuffle' on my whole collection - it's like my own personalised radio station... )

Im listening a lot to mewithoutYou these days, which is weird because I dont really feel connected to the music, and the name of the band is soo stupid, horrible
i finally stopped listening to Billy Talent, my guilty pleasure, the melodies are kinda cool, but the lyrics are so damn stupid, i couldnt stand it
im trying to find my way through all the modest mouse cds, but i only single songs are cool, the albums as a whole have to much weird stuff on it, a best of selection would be incredible
also im always carrying around a best of selection of at the drive-in one of the best bands ever, the other best bands: the thermals (and everything else made by those guys, Hutch&Kathy, All Girl Summer Fun Band, Kind Of Like Spitting) mates of state everything made by ben gibbard
my latest influences are stuff like explosions in the sky, godspeed you! black emperor, the album leaf, the appleseed cast the appleseed cast could be my new favorite band, i will listen to them more closely
also the NY Antifolk scene has a lot to offer, i will attend a kimya dawson show soon( i can't wait for "the beer"), although adam green kinda sucks now, but schwervon! and jeffrey lewis are pretty funny and interesting
this is rockin my world these days

Raphael, I haven't heard of 95 percent of the bands you have mentioned! How do you get to hear all of them? I know that my son loves At The Drive In and so maybe you like Mars Volta and even Fall of Troy? I shy away from most screamers although there is a local band... Kane Hodder, whose screams are followed by the most wonderful melodic voice. I can appreciate that. Have you listened to Plans by Death Cab? I am definitely loving it, esp Brothers on a Hotel Bed. The one piano note that is played constantly throughout the song is absolutely the oddest but coolest thing.
