Like the movie. The most powerful part of it for me was the first 12 seconds. I think most of the video sync's with the song. I'd like to see you put as much effort into the end like you did at the start. Maybe reversing the start of the movie for the end sequence. That might be more powerful. Also, get the right proportions for the video. You can easily tell the video is not the correct size. If your trying to go for that look on purpose, try making it more dramtic and not through all the clips. Use it sparingly. What program are you using to edit the footage? After effects, DV studio? I think adding a little bit of effect would also make it more powerful. Some text wouldn't hurt either. your off on a great start man, don't stop now. When you finish it up let me know. Shoot me an e-mail at mrrm@mail.com . If you have the storage space, i'd like to see a lossless version of it. Did you do the howard stern edit on the liquid breaks website? I thought that was very well done. -IIVII

I really liked it....if I was going to nitpick I would say the only problems were some of the scenes and scene transitions were a bit quick for such a slow song....still very nice though

I liked your video better than the official one. The coloring and sync were perfect, and especially the way you would see what the song was describing on the screen at the exact moment. I also feel the ending could have been slightly more intense, but all the same I loved it.

My search of the boards hasn't turned this resource up yet, and because it was so moving, I thought it worth putting up -- here's a link to the official "Mad World" music video: boss.streamos.com/wmedia/universalmotown/universal/michael_andrews/video/00_madworld.asxI found it beautiful, and the use of youths to create the images has some parallels to Darko and discussions we've had here -- particularly the exploration of the reasons for shots of trampoline jumpers throughout. edit: touched up the link
