This has probably been done before but here goes........ What is your favourite overall scene / moment and why? It could be a scene that made you laugh out loud, cry, think deeply about it, or was just plain cool. Anything from the touching moment Donnie and his mum share when he asks "how does it feel to have a whacko for a son?" to the laugh out loud moment where Kitty Farmer explains that Donnie told her to shove a life-learning excercise card up her arse ;D My personal favourite part is the "School arrival montage" backed up by Head over heels, man, that is probably my favourite scene in a film of all time, it's just so well done it makes me shake my head in disbelief of how something can be so perfect

That's the one that leapt immediately to mind; it's so stunning visually and aurally. I always kinda liked the song; now, it elicits an entirely new, powerful emotion in me ... because of that scene. Followed closely by the Mad World montage at the end. I can't think of that song anymore without getting goosebumps.

Pari Passu people. I love the music in the movie theatre scene and when you think about it it's really the beginning of the ending, I don't know why but there's something about that scene that is so memorable to me. Maybe it's because I've always wanted a man in a bunny suit to sit near me in the cinema and show me a portal on the screen

I really enjoyed that scene where they first enter the high school too. Like, the hallway scene was really well put together cause it introduced many of the characters around the school.
I also liked the scene when Donnie and Gretchen are coming down the stairs after doing it. Cause the Killing Moon is a cool song and like, you feel good for donnie.

Yeah, I love the slow motion in that scene (the Killing Moon scene). It makes it almost cheesy in a good way.

The most amazing montages in film are the Head over Heels and Mad World montages. They give me goosebumps every time. The Head over Heels montage is particularly amazing as it gives the audience an insight into the characters personalities and their position in Middlesex, incredibly achieved. I also love Donnie's last scene with Dr. Thurman. It is a great testament to Jake's versatility and it promotes a deep atmosphere. My favourite moment would have to be when Gretchen first enters her English class and sits down next to Donnie. It means so much, yet it is so simple and subtle. There's too many, the whole movie is so perfect, but these come to mind first. And the Smurfs scene is hillarious, along with the "forceably insert up anus" scene... I better go or I'll never stop.

Lol. You didn't understand it did you? Poor thing... Well, at least it made an impact. I mean, it inspired you to find time in your heavy schedule of bitching and watching sorority slasher films to locate a Donnie Darko fan forum and bitch some more. Good on you for socialising.
You seem really heated though, I advise you to go to the video store and rent a movie that you "will" like. Analysing your post, I think something similar to 'The fast and the furious' would be more to your taste; not much intellectual insight necessary.
And it's 'clown', not klown.
Finally, just in case you didn't understand anything I wrote, I'll spell it out for you, F-U-C-K O-F-F.
