The main problem you'll have with that setup is against any team built to outlast. Two mana-using classes, one of which is using mana both for healing and DPS, might have trouble nuking someone down before you run OOM. You'll have to rely heavily on CC and burst damage to kill one person quickly. Between Cyclone, Fear, and Spell Lock you actually have a decent amount of CC, but your burst damage might come up short, especially against well geared PvPers.
don't forget 'force of nature', this actually really screws up casters cloth/leather and can make people freak out
druid balance burst damage can be decent.. also, druid shouldnt have a mana problems (innervate and if specc'd/geared right good regen while casting) especially in 2v2. i have a 70 heavy balance build druid teamed with a shadow priest and a rogue for 2v2. i never come out in moonkin form, gives away what i can do.
I actually play with a Moonkin in my 2v2 team and while we only had an 1850 rating last season, that was down to the amount played (we both raided extensively) than the potential of the Matrix.
Generally, we can CC/Burst down nearly anything (the DPS he produces is utterly amazing) and only really had problems with teams that can outlast us - or possibly CC/Burst more effectively - its very much an "all or nothing" kind of team.
I usually take the initial focus train but his healing is really quite awesome into the bargain so combined with a Healthstone even MS warriors don't give us too many problems because their healer is cycloned/CoT/Feared/DC'd while the Warrior gets the Felguard/Shadowburn/Dots/Searing Pain burst down.
It will be interesting to see how we fare in the new season with significantly better gear.
FUnny you post this. I was up until 3am just last night with that exact team.
Granted I am raid specced and geared at 41/0/20 but out of the 10 matches we played we only lost 2. Theleb is right about having aLOT of CC. The only group that really messed us up bad was a really well geared 3minute mage (2-shot me) and a warrior warlock combo when we had first started playing together.

Yeah, it'll work. Cyclone 1 and DoT/Nuke 2, fear 1 when 2nd cyclone breaks.
Seeing as though this thread is now over a year old can anyone tell me if this combo is still viable? Currently I am SL/SL specced but I¡äve been wondering if a destro spec would be better?
