Hi! I don't have something too specific to put out there but thought I'd start up a bit of Darko banter I think this film is completely inspiring! The whole plot just intruiges me, but on top of that there's this meshing of the adolecent quest for identity with the pretences of society. I love these sorts of topics, especiaally the whole idea of 'reality' being pulled our eyes to hide what's really real...if you get me? The idea of a higher sort of knowledge and experience is so interesting. Oh, also, the way Donnie is considered by his community as maybe crazy or insaine; but, personally, I fell positioned as a viewer to think him the most 'real'. He is sort of cast off as mad and given pills and councilling when perhaps what he's seeing is a higher, more true reality than that of anyone elses. Then people like Kitty and that peodiphile guy are trusted and upheld in society as 'good' when actually they are either sick or adiment to ignore the wrong of the world to shield themselves childishly ('Oh, Please! Please! Don't use those words! It's obviously some kind of conspiracy to destroy an innocent man. And I have taken it upon myself to spearhead the Jim Cunningham Defense Campaign.') I think maybe the film tries to challenge the conventions of goodness, truth, and the general way society tends to work. So, yeah. Hi and thanks if you respond- twould be lovely!

Indeed, this film does exactly that. it intrigues me everytime I watch it. I wish there were more like it. Its hard to find film like that now a days. There are other types like this one as well but not enough. This movie makes me think of how society and life are more and has definatley got me interested in time travel and quantum physics in general.
