Ever since the first time I saw it, Donnie Darko has been, hands down, the BEST movie I've ever seen. It changed my outlook on my dreams, what I thought was reality, and motivational speakers. It has also changed my choice in music. The only song I listen to now is Madworld. I especially enjoyed the psychological elements in Donnie Darko. The image of Frank from the future, with his all seeing eye that shows Donnie images of the future at several points through the movie. The hypnosis scene was rather disturbing, though. The whole, "What do you think about?" moment. I was rather upset that something so irrelevant was thrown into an otherwise excellent movie. The ending was initially confusing, but after three viewings, I figured it out: Donnie rolls over in bed and laughs because he knows what he's done, how he's done it, and what would happen if he didn't. He decides death is a better option than living through similar events more than once. I see six foot tall bunnies
