Nice post. I can't say that "DD" effected me so profoundly on a personal level, but I think its cool it did in your case. As a fellow Christian, I agree that God uses many different things to speak to us. I'm glad "Darko" has helped you to see the little things in a different light. Donnie is a misfit. Jesus Christ was(IS!) a misfit: love your enemies, help the poor, lay down your life for others...not exactly in line with our consumerist/self-obsessed society. I guess I'm saying Keep the Faith. i started this thread but i acciedently deleted my original post on here(i meant to change it), so this whole thread doesnt make sense. i think basically what i said was:
i could really relate with donnie. with thinking different then most people and having them treat u different for it.(not to mention have stupid peolple surround u at school). and what i took from the movie... God just really used this movie to help me firgure some stuff out.

There is a post where this guy ChristianisLove or something like that actually claims that we all here are sinners and that we idolize this movie and other stuff. Well appeareantly he had not read this thread, short it is though, it still reveals a bit about the movie. There is just soo much more to this movie and that is what marvels me about it, it is so flexible, you can view it from so many different points of view and still make something out of it. You can view it religiosly, scientifically, phsycologically...etc.. I don't understand how somebody can not like it.

They just manipulate them, that's about all they can do... Render useless their will and manipulate them like a puppeteer manipulates a puppet.
