Just a heads up on the donnie darko book that's available to buy on amazon... anyone got it already? if so, is it any good in offering new info that isn't found on the DVD? i need to know as i'm doing my media coursework on the film and how it breaks narrative expectations and challenges the conventions of the "teen movie". i have to use academic sources (books, film commentary etc) to back it up though, so nothing off the internet!

I got the book a month or two ago and it's pretty interesting. Basically what you might miss something said, it includes a really indepth interview which I loved reading, the screenplay (including the scenes which were deleted), sketches related to the movie (i found these very interesting), pictures from the movie, the Philosophy of Time Travel. I really recommend it as it is for a good price.
