hey
I got a question. When donnie tries to kiss gretchen in the forest, there's a fat man looking at them.
When the party begins, that fat man is standing across the streets with a flashlight flashing in to the camera. This looks as the same light that comes out of the right eye of frank in the scene in the bathroom when donnie is trying to break through that "wall" with a knife.
Has this something to do with eachother?

royman ... i was watching the movie ... and i got the same idea .. i didn't know what that might mean ?? and i still can't figure it out ...
and it crossed my mind that the director may palyin' with us ... as he knows that the movie is fully detailed ... !!!

In the credits you can find out that the fat man is an FAA agent. I'm assuming he is watching Donnie to make sure he doesn't talk about the plane engine. The FAA seemed to take a pretty hard line stance on that, even Donnie's dad mentions it earlier in the movie

FAA guy thats a gd theory, but what i think its just a link through the scenes, there are three ocassions when that falshy thingy happens....
1. intro donnie darko then a kind of eye light
2. getting stabbed in the eye
3. the fat guy with torch.

also to add on that the eye theme is quite recurring throughout the filmm....
the link...the blue eye which kind of contracts,
that picture in his room with a skull
the stabbing of frank in the eye
and lastly the killing of frank(human...)

Well you certainly shouldn't buy weed from Hunter S. Thompson. He sells it by the pound and I don't have that sort of money, though I suppose if you're seeing Hunter S. Thompson selling weed then weed is the least of your problems.
