The painting in Mr. Cunningham's house, which shows himself a lot younger resembles Frank. Compare the hairstyle. What do you think?

And by the way - there is a fat a lady in the audience at the show by "sparkle motion", who is smiling at the end of the show. Who is she? The next scene shows the mysterious fat scool outsider. Are they also the same person?

RF, I assume he means is the giant, crappy portrait in Jim's house -- the one behind which the child porn production was hidden -- actually a painting of Jim.
Yes, I believe it is.

Well I wouldnt exactly say it was crappy but it isnt the greatest I've ever seen...it was completed in one night though I believe and thats pretty good for such a large painting

How do we know it's completed in one night?
And, regardless of the time it took to complete, I'd rate it as crummy. But, as we've established here before, there's no accounting for personal taste.

in reference to the hair style resembling frank...i think that was intentional. not to say i think cunningham is frank, but in the beginning of the movie, when rose (donnie's mother) is in bed, right before the engine hits, she's lying face-up at an angle, and her hair almost looks as though it were in the shape of rabbit ears. i think the two are definitely intentional.
but you also have to imagine that the artist who designed frank is probably the same person who drew that portrait...so maybe that is the only reason for the two looking similar; maybe it's just similar style.

I dont know what you mean by "designed frank" but Richard Kelly drew the sketches the frank mask was based off of and it says in the commentary the painting was done by someone else....which is also where it says it was done in one night
