Hmmm as well as the donnie darko relating to journey, could you guys help me with a quick question? When Donnie's mum is staring at the drawing, he asks "how does it feel to have a psycho for a son?" and she replies "It feels wonderful." What's that about? I concluded she was happy that she had just finally found out what was wrong with him...buuut i could be wrong...lol. lemme know about that and the journey thing guys!!

Rose, was just telling her son how much she loved him... It was also one of the first steps to repair his relationships on his journey through the tangent universe....

One of the best scenes of the movie. Donnie's mom is exceptionally practical and difficult to upset and insightfull. She asks pointed questions at the PTA, recognizes Jim Cunningham as being less than others perceive. And even at the end she doesn't cry, but smokes a cigarette. I like to think that Donnie mom isn't upset at what Donnie might be (a paranoid schizophrenic) but accepts that there must be some reason for everything. This is different than Donnie who is trying to figure everything out. #nosmileys#nosmileys
