How come the director's cut is the same length as with the original? Is it even worth seeing?

i'm not sure how long exactly the 'original' is... but the directors cut SHOULD be longer, as it contains some deleted or extended scenes. and whether it's worth seeing or not? that's up to you. if you'd prefer the film to have more of an air of mystery, then don't see it, and don't watch the deleted scenes... but i'm positive the majority of us will watch it and form our opinions afterwards. i'm a little wary of it myself. edit***113 min(slightly less than 2 hours) / 133 min(roughly 2.5 hours) director's cut www.imdb.com

The Directors Cut is about 20 minutes longer...
It is worth seeing, for a few reasons... Many missed out the first time on the big screen, I did, and it is much different than watching on a television...
It is a somewhat "different" movie than the original... I liked the original better, ubt there were parts of the Directos Cut, i thought were great and others I thought could have been left out... If you have the chance to see it, why not... It is better than alot of crap they put out...

Is the director's cut available in region 1 (U.S.) coded DVDs? I bought a copy from England and have to modify my player for international viewing.
I'd rather buy one in the states?
Any help would be appreciated.#nosmileys
