I might be missing something here, but at the end of the movie when all the ML wake up from their dreams and Frank is there touching his eye, isn't that the time he should've been dropping off Elizabeth just before the jet engine hits? I think both instances occurred at 1.30 am, Oct 2, 1988. Could someone please tell me if I am wrong?

Actually, I think that Frank lives only a few second away from Donnie's house because if you look at the begining of the movie, a car passes Donnie when he's riding his bike. Guess who's car it belongs to? Frank

So, he was able to park his car, run in the house like a rocket and fall asleep all in a mater of like 2 minutes. Amazing.
We never actually see who dropped her off. Maybe she was out banging some other dude.

Frank didn't appear to be asleep to begin with... He was sitting on his floor with candles lit around his room... I doubt he lit all of them after he woke up from his dream, he prob had a deja vu moment rather than a "dream"...

I agree with RF about the Frank having deja vu rather than having slept.
Also it should be noted that in the directors cut commentary it is stated that the 'waking up' montage is supposed to represent 30-40 mins rather than just 2 or 3. This would give Frank loads of time to get home and 'reflect'.

This would give Frank loads of time to get home and 'reflect'. Indeed and agreed. Also of interest: Kelly mentions in the commentary that Frank's "memory moment" was shot and inserted after the rest of the movie was produced (he talks about "always wanting to have that moment when Frank realizes what happened, sitting next to the mask he's just started making ..."). It might be that, in adding something much later, he wasn't as attuned to the movie's continuity.
