Well, it's sort of what I do, but moreso Zbrush is an amazing program. What I can do with it is just the baseline, it just gets better from there. The amount of truly stunning stuff I see done with it is...quite intimidating.

Twitch...I really thought it was a real sculpture...that is very cool!!! Here is a link to the explanation of how a book cover's artwork has come about... I love Ron Kelly!!! Have I mentioned that already? www.ronaldkelly.com/art/mcvey-undertaker.html

Now that's the kind of stuff I'm into. Flesh-ripping werewolves from hell! Sorry, got a little ahead of myself.

Pretty cool stuff there. In my art world, I've been doing some more 3d modeling, I now have a headless human body and I'm working on the head now. Also, my tablet has now begun shipping to me from the factory, so, with any luck, I should be making 2D art within the week.

It's a graphic tablet. Basically, it allows me to draw on my monitor with a special pen. It's really the only way to make 2d digital art. Well, it's not the only way, you can get a tablet that just communicates with your computer, allowing you to work on a separate tablet while the editing takes effect on your monitor, but I think the ability to work directly on the screen is worth the hefty price.

In the immortal words of Phillip J. Fry: This tablet is like sex, except I'm having it. My first work is sort of just thrown together without a clear plan or concept, and it features arguably the worst perspective for creating an interesting composition, but screw it, I just wanted to use my tablet, not worry about annoying things like concepts and composition: img263.imageshack.us/img263/9126/emobirdqu8.jpgIt might be pretty small if you're on a high resolution, but eh, you can still see it right? It R color'd also: img523.imageshack.us/img523/9484/emobird2ig7.jpg

Colored version of my beast: img401.imageshack.us/img401/2838/xivaicolorednv8.jpgThe white area around the head is known as haloing and is an artifact of my transplanting from a white background. Working on a temporary background in the first place was stupid, but I'll fix it.
