"Momento" is a good candidate. Also "Lulu On the Bridge" starring Harvey Keitel. And, if we look at the years 2000-present as a movie, the "presidency" of Dubya Bush certainly messes with your mind. ;D Said it before, I say it again: 18? Don't like the direction America is headed? VOTE!!!!! Peace out.

I don't think Fight Club or Memento really counts all that much if they explain the ending to you at the ending, but I guess being fooled or revealed crazy things can count. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind had an interesting way of destroying an assumption we have about the 20 minute sequence of the film prior to the opening credits.

Brazil!!! of course.it's easy to follow but it's somewhat difficult to pull apart and try to decipher what it all means.
memento doesn't count because it's not the STORY thats a mindf*** but the fact that it's played in reverse.playe dforward it would be a very linear story (it is a great movie though)
Pi is great but I don't get it.
Eraserhead is apperently a mindf*** i haven't seen it.but i have a morbid curiousty, and am really itching to see it (early in the morning, not late at night)
Tarkovskys "Solaris" is brain numbing, and excellent, one of my faveorite foreign films.
"Open your eyes" and it's american counterpart,"Vanilla sky" are both reallly good and twisted.but the original (spanish verison) is a lot more emotionally involving.
the japanese film "Audition" gets confusing near the end (who is the tongueless man in the bag???)
"chasing sleep" jeff daniels is really good in this movie but it's next to impossible to follow.
"spirited away" my #2 faveorite film under DD, of course) I love this movie but its kind of like "brazil" in the sense that there are a lot of little nuances that mean something but seem to be up to you to decipher (no face, the train to swamp bottom, haku himself, all are great additions to the movie but their roles can be hard to figure out).speaking of the train to swamp bottom, their is a scene when it drops off all the ghost like men and women off and they start down those stairs,it's incredibly sad but i don't know if it's meant to be dead poeple leavbing the world or just a mysterious scene like all the others.
anyways, those are some of the ones that come to my mind...

The Ring I suppose could fall under that category....it gives you something to think about for a little while......I didnt particularly enjoy the movie but its got Samantha Darko so it cant be all bad

i really didnt like the ring, it was pretty good through most of it but at the end it seemed like a typical horror movie.

I'm 17, and wish to God I was born a year earlier so I could vote this year! lol I can't begin to explain how much I despise that man... Anyway, I guess I should post a movie, that's actually the topic of this convo, lol. Ummmm...I can't think of any, lol. But Fight Club was really weird.
