Theres one thing about the film i havnt been able to work out, jsut wondered if anyone else has an idea
In the graphic novel boxer has to look after a baby who is the second coming of christ, and growing quickly, but in the film i cant think who the hell is will be. has the baby (a toddler by the end of the novel i think) just disappeared? who is it meant to be.
the only person i though it could have been was the kid that says dawg all the time, but hes in the novel as it is, so it cant be him.
?

I would say it would have to be Roland Taverner/Ronald Taverner, but he doesn't seem young enough for that to work. I'm not sure.

Yeah, I know. Maybe they just scrapped this idea or chose not to develop it further in the film?

Watched the film and read the book again yesturday.
Youd think that because of the light from the hand, the rising van and not having a shit that Roland/Ronald is the resurection of christ, but because of his relationship with pilot and being in the iraq the time scale just wouldnt work :/ (he wasnt in the book as discovering the baby)
i got it wrong about Martin Kefauver (Dawg guy), in "The Power" he is described as the one that pulls the trigger, theexecutioner (of christ i presume)
Obviously the baron is the anti christ, but i also think he might be a natural bleeder in order to have organised everything/one like he did to ensure that the end of the world happened.
There are two other characters that im trying to work out, Simon Theory and Walter Mung. Simon theory comes across as being pretty much the same sort of person as the baron, again maybe being a natural bleeder, in trying to get everyone orginsed for the apocolispe.
Walter Mung (drives the ice cream truck) i think could possibly be the messiah. He seems to be old enough by the time of the apocalypse, adn he tells matin kefauver what to do, so he seems to know whats going on, but isnt mentioned anywhere else in the novel.
Anyone else got any ideas?

It's been quite awhile since I saw ST, and I don't think too many others here saw it at all. I'd like to discuss this, but with my memory, or lack thereof, of the events, I doubt I could add anything useful.
