Well, it could be better, but it's not bad. Right now it seems more like a farce than a drama, but not a very funny one, of course, the narrator and the music seemed to treat everything seriously, so tha didn't really work. It still sort of has a low-budget, low-polish feel about it, despite all the big names attached.
I dunno, but I still have yet to get that graphic novel....

I don't know, when I watched the trailer for the fifth time, i feel it's starting to give me the same type of feeling that DD gave me when I first saw the trailer for it way back when. I think it's going to be trippy and fun. Of course it's gonna make me go ,"what the Fuuuu" But that's what I loved about Darko too. Oh, and HI! I'm new.

I personally didn't feel that the trailer for DD captured the feel of the movie, so I'm kind of hoping this will be similar.

I think expecting the essence of 'Donnie Darko' to be in this film is the fast lane to disappointment, I just want to see something new and different, and from the trailer I'm hopeful. I just hope I don't have to go to London to be able to see it, as I heard it's getting a limited theatrical run.

That's not what I'm saying. I'm saying that the preview of DD didn't capture the essence of that film, and I'm hoping that is not the case with this film. Not that the two films should be similar. This also sort of gives me the feeling of a stale film that is held up by it's stars, but when your stars are the likes of The Rock, Justin Timberlake, and Cheri Oteri, I'm not sure how well that will work. Richard Kelly seems to think he can work with big name actors and have it be successful since working with Drew Barrymore and Keira Knightly, the only problem is both of those were poor performances. Well, he didn't exactly direct Keira Knightly, but Tony Scott was hand in hand with him when they fell down the pit of mediocrity so fart as I'm concerned.
