First a point of clarification - the 4th Dimension is Time - everything is in it all the time (sic), so there's no getting 'into' it. So I'm assuming you mean the TU - which is created when the 4th Dimension is corrupted in some way. I'm also not sure quite where in the timeline you are thinking of - the 'first' engine, that crashes into Donnie's room, or the 'Second' engine that kills him at the end of the movie... If you are thinking of the first engine - then we are not sure. We know that the PU version of the plane the second engine came from is intact, as you point out. There has been speculation that the artifact is fabricated by the process that creates the TU, like some sort of copying error, rather than entering through a portal. If we consider the second then we know only the engine goes anywhere near a portal! These issues have all been debated on so PLEASE use the search button and pick up the discussions in the appropriate places. I don't want to have to put on my Moderator hat today

where is the rest of the plane? First engine - if you accept the 'copying error' or TU fabrication theories then there is no 'rest of the plane'. Just an engine. Second engine - the plane is in the TU and is blinked out of existence along with everything else in the TU when it collapses.

exactly spot on i think....if god controls all time, and all time is pre-decided..... the universe was created by the big bang,we all know this now, its been proven fact. Now we dont know who created or what created the big bang, presumably god.or at least thats what i think. Now the universe has laws that are to be followed, everyday life shows us this, from quantum particle theory to large scale gravitational interaction between gallixies, stars etc.if god set the ball rolling with certain laws intended to be witheld we having free will are the players in the game.now hawking says that there are certain times when a singularity occurs, something that doesnt conform to normal universal laws,as in the corruption of space time in dd..but the idea i have is that this occurance, with a combination of all that is good in human nature(that god created) essentially is gods ace so to speak to combat the flaws or otherworldly forces that instigate a singularity, being that maybe god isnt perfect either....with me? donnie had to die to save the world, but god let him do it gracefully, knowing that he wasnt alone.......might be nonsense but thays what i think

Well I will tell you what I think. I Donnie didnt <B>have<B> to die in his mind it was the only way to stop the ending of the world or his world rather: Gretchen

As you see if you look at it (to me anyway) the whole time frank is telling him the world was going to end he meant that donnies world was going to end meaning Gretchen was going to die.

As you see if you look at it (to me anyway) the whole time frank is telling him the world was going to end he meant that donnies world was going to end meaning Gretchen was going to die. I don't think that is it. I mean you are entitled to your oppinion but if that theory were so... the world would end exactly when she dies. That isn't the case though. The world ends several hours later. Gretchen was just a cause for Donnie to save the world. He listened to what she said. "But, what if you could go back in time and take all those hours of pain and darkness and replace them with something better?" He remembered this and thats what he wanted to do. Some people might say he dies alone because he didn't feel loved... but he did in the tangent universe and he remembered this. So he was at peace when he died I guess. lol

I guess we all do die alone.... You are right about many things but you are brong about that . Donnie sacrificed himself to prove that God exists, that God is indeed sovereign over everything—and if God exists then no one dies alone.
