This movie is great. This movie kept me up till the end, and I started watching it after me and some friends left the bars at around 3am. Kept me in my seat the whole time with my heart pounding. One thing to note, If you are like me and normal horror movies don't scare you at all but you get shivers from pseudo-schitzophrenic type movies I recommend having your girlfriend/boyfriend/dog with you while you watch it. Even just going over this site brings back the feeling.... Like I just went out to have a smoke tonight and it's all foggy out, I kept expecting to see a 6ft bunny rabbit out there.... (looks around wearily) can I sleep with you tonight?

I don't know (or at least in my opinion and experience) Donnie Darko is not a really scary movie. It's not even a bit horrifieng. Maybe the first time I saw it, it was kinda spooky, but after that first time it wasn't.

Maybe the first time I saw it, it was kinda spooky, but after that first time it wasn't. Just seeing the rabbit on the menu screen of the DVD freaked out my wife! Needless to say, she didn't enjoy the movie nearly as much as I did.

Ive found that alot of people jsut dont get what donnie darko is about. And because they are unable to catagorise something they dismiss it as bad! I feel sorry for those people

I recommend having your girlfriend/boyfriend/dog with you while you watch it. Thank you for that insightful advice, I'm sure it will prove valuable when we all finally sit down and watch Donnie Darko for the first time........oh wait it's a Donnie Darko message board.

The movie is not scary at all. Initially i thought it was a bit eery because of all the things that just took place. Time travel, tangent universe, a big jet engine, a fat guy in a red suit just really is a lot to take in. lol.
