ok, so this may have been mentioned before, and/or most of you already know, BUT I thought it was so weird when I read it, so, well, wanted people who don't know, to know who was going to play donnie in the first place. Disagree? delete it when you get the power, don't mind. Jason Schwartzman Vince Vaughn (dude...) Mark Wahlberg "Vaughn refused because he didn't feel comfortable playing a 16 year-old. Wahlberg wanted to play Donnie with a lisp but the director disagreed." www.moviemistakes.com/film2127/trivia?changes=yesso, am I wrong or doesn't jake play donnie with a lisp at times? and....the movie without jake....not so good

OMG Mark Walberg?? No. [glow=red,2,300]NO.[/glow]. No. I cannot picture anyone but JG playing DD. I think the 'lisp' is JG trying to talk like a kid when he's hypnotised or in a dream state?

"Frank tells Donnie that the world will end in 28 days, 6 hours, 42 minutes and 12 seconds. The jet engine is shown landing in Donnie's room, killing him, exactly one hour, 42 minutes and 12 seconds into the movie."
Whoa. Anybody know if that's actually true? I should Check. I'ma go check.

Yeah I read that on one of the sites when i was researching DD. But OMG, I cannot picture Mark Wahlberg as Donnie Darko. I mean come on, Donnie Darko with a lisp? lol. Mark Wahlberg who use to be the rapper aka Marky Mark. lol. I don't think so. Jake was perfect for the role. ;D

I actually think that Jared Leto could have been a good donnie darko too. I know he's in his 30ies, but the guy looks like he's 12

So I watched Requiem for a dream yesterday, mainly because I had realized that I had only seen jared leto in fight club and girl interrupted, roles that were pretty small. Man that movie was harsh! it SO makes you not want to become a drug addict or a prostitute...or an old lady(she was creeeeeeeeeeeepy). I'm not sure of leto's talent though...hm... marlon wayans was almost unrecognizable, he was good I also watched the good girl the other day, which...ok it made me cry like a baby. I need to watch a happy movie. And gyllenhaal needs to star in one too

Highway and October Sky were good roles from Jake Gyllenhaal also.
