I could just kick myself for missing him when he was here...he was at a fairly local booksore reading from his new book. I heard an interview on the radio and god he seems like the nicest guy.
Very humble, smart and well meaning.

yeah, comes across as very calm, relaxed with who he is (a welcome respite from everyone who knows what's wrong and how to fix it). ____________________________________________________

"This is the true joy in life, the being used for a purpose recognized by yourself as a mighty one; the being thoroughly worn out before you are thrown on the scrap heap; the being a force of nature instead of a feverish selfish little clod of ailments and grievances complaining that the world will not devote itself to making you happy." George Bernard Shaw (We Give To Love)

"There is a place for everyone, man and woman, old and young, hale and halt; service in a thousand forms is open. There is no room now for the dilettante, the weakling, for the shirker, or the sluggard. From the highest to the humblest tasks, all are of equal honor; all have their part to play." Winston Churchill (We Give To Love)

Those are great quotes! I am feeling thoroughly worn out and thankfully am headed on vacation rather than on the scrap heap.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I'll see you when I get back and I hope you provide me with a lot of stuff to catch up on.

the street parade when i was waiting for your phone call the one that never came like a man about to burst i was dying of thirst... though i will never fade or get lost in this daze... ...though i will disappear into the street parade... its not too hard to cry in these crying times i'll take my broken heart and take it home in parts... but i will never fade or get lost in this daze though i will disappear into the street parade... i was in this place by the first church of the city i saw tears on the face the face of a visionary... though i will disappear... to join the street parade disppear and fade... into the street parade..........(the clash) R.I.P. in school my daughter's class was surveyed re: the number of televisions per household. hers (ours) was the only one w/ one t.v. (none w/zero or 2). the amount then went from 3 on up to 14! and there was more than one household w/ this many! 14 televisions in one house enters the realm of absolute creepy. when any appliance outnumbers the humans its there to serve then something's flipped, like Twilight Zone; really, it's some kind of invasion. why so many? to walk from room to room and never be w/o the cathode companion? to shut out the insufferable silence of one's own empty soul? weird. and i think one is more than enough.
